Used to be "The tale of two cities!"," BC! BC! BC! So glad to see you again! Highway 1: San Francisco - San Diego...glad to see you too!", "Here I come Washington D.C. and The Big Apple!", "Finally Japan...and along came Rickard", "Canada...here I come...again!" and before that "New Zealand...here I come...finally!"

Frequently...
I don't know yet how often I will be able to update this blog with text and pictures, but I hope I will be able to do it quite frequently. I guess that you will just have to stop by sometimes and see if there are any updates!

More about the trip...
We are flying out of Sweden tomorrow at 11 AM SWE time (March 30) and will arrive in Christchurch April 1 at 9 AM NZ time. On the way we will stop at both London and Los Angeles.
For the first part of the trip my class mate Y and I will follow the other class on their excursion on the south island. We will get see a lot for example Christchurch, Mount Cook, Queenstown, Wanaka, Franz Josef Glaceir and Kaikuro. When the rest of the class are leaving for the north island Y and I are going back down south for our field work. We are not really sure how long we will stay for but at some point we will also get to the north island. Depending on when we get there we will get to see more or less of that part of the country. We will for sure not miss out on Auckland though since we are flying out from there.
On our way back to Sweden we will have a three day vacation on Tonga. We might need it since the trip probably will be quite intense. We will return in Stockholm April 30 at dinner time.

The story behind it all...
I guess it was in February that a class mate, J, came running into the computer lab at the university with a note about this class in Geomorphology. If you took that class you would get the opportunity to spend a month in New Zealand. Since I've been wanting to go for at least 10 years I could not resist to sign up for the class.
We are only two taking the class since J who suggested that we would go couldn't go in the end. :o(
But since 10 or 12 other people are coming too to write there bachelor thesis we won't be all alone though except for about a week when we are going to do our field work on the south island. We are not really sure about what we are going to do yet, but it has to do with the geomorphology of New Zealand. :o) Hopefully we will get a more precise idea on the very long flight over there!
