Comic Con here I come...oh I meant ESRI UC here I come

Our flight left Newark at 9.01 AM so our day began already at 5:30 AM with hope on catching up on sleep on the flight.

Newark's domestic terminal is way nicer than the international terminal was last year and we had lots of time exploring since we managed to check in outside the terminal and missed the long line up to the ordinary check in desks.

The flight was longer than expected but not as cold and not as much free food as on our last flight to Newark. Martin tried to sleep for awhile but I had things to do like blogging, writing postcards and talking to the American sitting beside me.

We landed just a few minutes in San Diego a few minutes before the crash in San Francisco. Those are the moments when it is good to remind yourself that flying still is so much safer than going by car.

We got into the hotel at 12:30 PM at the same time as Jack Nicholson (famous actor). It seemed like he could check in right away but we had to wait one to two hours before we had the same opportunity. We left our luggage and headed down to the harbour for lunch.

The lunch place we found was a typical kiosk with hamburgers and a few other dishes but we enjoyed it a little bit more because of the view and because they barbecued the hamburgers on a barbecue that was placed in between the tables. It was a pretty yummy hamburger as well :)

Don't let Martin's t-shirt fool you. This is San Diego!

We spent the afternoon at the hotel, in our room and by the pool. The temperature and humidity was nothing like in New York so we didn't go swimming. Instead we talked to a few other Swedes that also are attending the conference.

After a short introduction meeting at 7 PM a few of the Swedes went to the well known meet place for dinner. Both Martin and I ended up with one 16 oz steak each! I had to give away parts of my steak even though it was amazing and even though I did not eat anything else with it. I still couldn't eat it all, but only left like 2 bites or so.

The steak! Doesn't look that big but it was!

The pillow felt great after a long day with a time difference of 3 hours!

Today's picture related to the title.
