This morning, leaving for downtown D.C. before heading to NYC in the afternoon, we arrived to the metro station closest to the hotel at 6:45 AM and the station hadn't opened yet! And the people standing around waiting for it to open were not really sure when it was going to open...how weird is that? Even though it's Saturday today, shouldn't there be people needing to get to work earlier than 7 AM anyway?

Well anyway it opened a little bit before 7 AM so we didn't have to wait that long. But then when we came down to the plattform we had no idea when the next train for our destination would arrive and depart. The sign only said that two trains would come at some point and that a train going the other way to Vienna would arrive in 16 minutes. But we couldn't say for sure that the two trains were going where we wanted to or if they would arrive 2 minutes or 14 minutes later.
The train arrived about 10 minutes later on the side of the plattform where the sign said there would be no trains arriving today because of construction work.
I won't complain about the metro in Sthlm for at least a day or two getting back home :)
