A Sunday stroll in Central Park

We spent most of the day strolling in Central Park! The day started out not to great weatherwise but the sun finally came out and made it a perfect Sunday in Central Park!

We zig-zagged back and forth through the park starting in the south east corner and ending in the north east corner. My highlight of the day was the hour we spent in a rowboat on "The Lake" (it's apparently called that).

We found this beautiful spot quite early. Bjorne is charging his batteries for our long stroll.

Smile! We're in NYC

My highest jump of the day!

Me like!

The Boat House that according to Bjorne is famous in Sweden these days because the Swedish Princess Madeleine was there with her new boyfriend a while ago.

The guy at the rowboat rental place just assumed Bjorn would do the rowing!

The place in the background with the Bethesda Fountain
has been in more than 600 movies according to the guide I passed by when walking passed it.

I didn't let Bjorne row for long before taking over! So much fun!

Quite a few turtles in The Lake.

So cute!

When we finally found some lunch we enjoyed it by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.

Another favourite in Central Park!

30 tennis courts in total!

The only thing I don't think I found that I really wanted to see was the ice hockey rink that the beginning and end scene of my favourite movie Love Story is from. We might have seen it, but it didn't really look the same as 40 years ago when the movie was made (maybe that's why I didn't recognize it).
