The name of the lake really suits the actual colour of the lake!
I went with Mike since Jan had to run some errands in town first.
One of Jan's nephews (that recently moved to 83 Mile House) and his fiancé came by with their speed boat. I got to go on two rides in the afternoon and see parts of Green Lake that I've never seen before (and that Jan who has spent decades at Green Lake never seen before either). I'm not that into going fast but I really enjoyed those two rides where we were going about 70 km/h.
Faster!
The wind is definitively in our hair.
Nice scenery as always.
A cute log-house on a beautiful spot.
We found this really nice shallow area of the lake were we walked around for quite some time (and some went swimming since the water was warmer).
A water creation!
Pretty much not a single cloud :)
Jan and Mike's friend from the carriage race at 70 Mile (Green Lake is close to 79 Mile) also came by as did Ian's fiancé, Dani, that works outside 100 Mile for part of the summer (Ian is down in Vancouver).
Some intense swimming going on.
As could be expected we had a fabulous day at the lake. It didn't get to hot though so I only went for one swim in the afternoon. We BBQ twice and had a fire in the evening to heat up marshmallows.
Relaxing at Green Lake
Dinner time!
Marshmallows being cooked over open fire!
Going back to 100 Mile in the evening we stopped by the first person I ever spoke to at the PSO high school when I first arrived, Mrs. Butterfield. I showed her and her husband (and a friend of theirs) around Stockholm in September of 2010 when they did a short stop in Stockholm during a cruise.
Looking through my yearbook with Mrs. And Mr. Butterfield.
After all that fresh air and sunshine I was beat coming back to the house. I had to take a few pictures of the world's cutest cat before heading to bed though.
