Road-trip to 100 Mile House with my favourite Jaimie

Last picture of I, Jaimie and Megan at the ferry terminal at Schwartz Bay on Vancouver Island. It also turned out to be the only picture I took all Thursday. I almost had a taking-pictures-withdrawal there for awhile. :)

After arriving at Tsawwassen in Vancouver around 10:30, Jaimie and I really took our time leaving the Lower Mainland.

First I came with her to look at a horse at the Hastings Horse Racing Central. I never seen so many horses or stables at once before. I of course tried to stay as far away from the horse of interest since it was gigantic (but beautiful).

Then we had a quick visit with some of Jaimie's family in Abbotsford and Mission and last an oil change in Chilliwack before heading out of the Greater Vancouver area little after 6 PM.

We had a fun road-trip where we talked about everything, mostly deep topics like world problems and so on. We didn't solve any of them but we aren't 4th graders anymore (Jaimie told me about this teachers that gives his 4th graders the task of coming up with ideas for solving world problems which they seem to be pretty good at even though I guess the ideas never really leave the classroom and are tested on the actual problems).

I was dropped of by Jaimie at 70 Mile where Jan and Mike where waiting to pick me up. After a short visit with a friend of theirs that is racing in a horse carriage race at 70 Mile this weekend we continued on towards 100 Mile.

Jan and I that were in her car had the unlucky timing of seeing two dead fawns and their alive mother. The fawns had just ben hit by the car in front of us. So sad!

We did a little drive through 100 Mile on our way to the house. A few stores had closed and a few had opened. The most significant change was the new intersection by my old high school PSO.

It was great coming back to what was my home for 10 months. What a beautiful place even in the dark when you can't really see the surroundings. I finally got to see Phoenix (the cat) and Bree and Bella (the dogs).

After a short chat with Mike and Jan it was time to end this long but fun day!
